Dr. Kortni Alston began her career in television as a reporter in 1998 at KWES-TV, an NBC affiliate station in Midland, Texas. She made a jump to market number 4 in Philadelphia for a 24 start-up news station. At Philly TV News, her beat was South Philadelphia where she covered impactful stories in the community. Dr. Kortni transitioned to WKBN-TV/WYFX-TV, which is a CBS and FOX affiliate station. After her time in Youngstown, Ohio, she returned to Texas, but this time in Houston. At News 24 Houston, Dr. Kortni covered stories that made national attention appearing on CNN covering Hurricane Claudette and Space Shuttle Columbia.
