William Alston’s memoir is here…

William Alston was a school administrator, entrepreneur, and the first black chairman of a credit union in Hackensack, New Jersey.

His life began in North Carolina in a farming community.

Today, he is the father of former TV reporter and News Director turned Happiness Scholar, Dr. Kortni Alston.

In 2016, Alston’s wife, Julia Alston, died of sarcoma cancer. The couple were married for more than 40 years.

His book, Childhood Stories and Perspectives: A Memoir, will take you on a generational journey of the Alston family and more.

“Congratulations to my father, who has tirelessly worked on this book for years. I have witnessed seeing him dive into stories of his childhood to create a teaching tool for families. As an educator, every page showcases vulnerability, courage, and insight to empower. I have always been proud of my parents and their accomplishments. I am grateful that my father’s stories will live on in his book,” says Dr. Kortni Alston.

Mr. Alston hope his book will spark conversation and strengthen communication in families and organizations.

You can purchase his book right here.

Proceeds from the book will go to cancer research.
